Das Fußball-Projekt von SERVIR

Es ist nicht der Traum vom großen Geld, der Fußball für die Bildungsarbeit von „Serviço de Promoção de Menor SERVIR“ interessant macht. SERVIR kümmert sich in der kleinen Stadt Januária im Bundesstaat Minas Gerais in Brasilien um sozial benachteiligte Kinder und Jugendliche, deren Eltern als Tagelöhner oder Gelegenheitsarbeiter ihr Geld verdienen oder arbeitslos sind. Ihre Kinder erhalten keine ausreichende Ernährung, keine medizinische Versorgung und haben kaum Zugang zur Schul- oder Berufsausbildung. Der Übergang zu einem Leben auf der Straße und dem Abbruch des Kontaktes zur Familie ist schnell erreicht.

Fußball zieht Kinder an und lehrt klare Regeln

Fußball dient SERVIR dazu, den Kindern und Jugendlichen wichtige Werte wie Fairness, Verantwortung, gegenseitigen Respekt, Toleranz und das Einhalten von Regelnbeizubringen. Darüber hinaus lernen die Kinder die Fähigkeit, Konflikte konstruktiv zu lösen: Eine wichtige Voraussetzung für ein Leben in der Gemeinschaft. Aus diesem Grund ist Sport ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des Erziehungskonzeptes von SERVIR und erleichtert elementar die Arbeit der Organisation.

Versorgung und Ausbildung: Investitionen in die Zukunft

Im Zentrum von SERVIR dreht sich natürlich nicht alles nur um Fußball. Hier bekommen Kinder und Jugendliche ausreichende Mahlzeiten, sie werden gesundheitlich versorgt und können zur Schule gehen. Über die Schulausbildung hinaus bietet das Zentrum die Möglichkeit, eine berufliche Ausbildung zu machen. Es werden z. B. Kurse in Fahrzeugtechnik, Datenverarbeitung, Industrienähen oder T-Shirt-Druck angeboten. Die projekteigene Bäckerei bildet nicht nur Jugendliche aus, sondern versorgt einen Großteil der armen Bevölkerung mit preiswertem Brot.

Servir würde gern weiteren Kindern helfen

Damit noch mehr Jugendliche von diesem erfolgreichen Konzept „Chancen durch Bildung und Sport“ profitieren können, sollen neue Kurse eingerichtet werden. So können insgesamt 560 Jugendliche und ihre Familien betreut werden. Dazu müssen Kursmaterialien, Werkzeuge und Maschinen angeschafft, sowie die Lehrergehälter gezahlt werden.
